There are many different types of PPE which are being used in various industries.

PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment. Since the Covid outbreak in 2020, PPE is often associated with medical PPE; masks, gloves and visors. However, PPE also refers to protective equipment and clothing in other industries and is something we have been supplying for many years.

Types of PPE

Gloves  – protect your hands in various industries. Hats and Helmets – we have a wide range of different hats and helmets in our PPE range. As well as full hard hats we also have a range of Bump Caps which protects the head from minor bumps. Our hats and helmets have optional add ons including clip on ear defenders, visors and chin straps.

Face Masks – protect your respiratory system with our facemasks. We can offer full face masks, half masks and filtered masks for dusty working conditions. 

Ear Defenders and plugs – in industries with heavy duty working equipment it can also be important to protect your ears from load noises. Within our range of different types of PPE we also have a range of ear defenders, ear muffs and ear plugs.

How often should you replace your PPE

Depending on the usage on each type of PPE, the lifetime will vary. We would recommend you replace your PPE at the first sign of wear and tear to make sure you are not compromising your safety.

Some manufacturers also give a recommendation of when to replace certain types of PPE. It is always best to follow this advice.
